Internet voting for this year´s national competition Žena regionu is under way. General public has chosen 111 nominees from the entire Czech Republic this year. Sportwomen, busineeswomen, female artists, owners of pet shelters, charity directors or women caring of left children or sick elders. Neither women participating on the development of their city ort he whole region are missing.
The project of Žena regionu belongs to all women who are motivating and enhancing others with their active attitude, participating in public life, helping sick people, children or animals and contributing the improvement of their region. „It is not only about well known and succesfull personalities but primarily about ordinary women whose meaningful and selfless activities keep being unnoticed by media and public. We hold this national competition since 2009 just for them and it´s purpose is to appreciate efforts of these exeptional women and make their work and results more visible“, said founder of the project Denisa Kalivodová. General public could have nominated exeptional women until 2nd February 2015. 111 women from the entire Czech Republic is nominated right now. Milan Št?ch, the chairman of Czech Senate, holds patronage over this year´s of competition.
