Disabled children from Svítání school got a new bus

Thanks to the sponsorship gifts, Svítání school in Pardubice solved the problem with collecting more than 50 of their students. The new bus, which was ceremonially christened by opera singer Andrea Kalivodová on the 11th September, will offer more comfortable travelling and help them in following progress.

„Our school provides education and following services to 200 children and young people with mental and combined disability. We´ve been working over 22 years in this sphere and we carry our students on varied places in the whole Pardubice region. We have to seek for resources on collecting buses on our own. That´s why we are so glad that we gained the new bus for more than 50 children and we can continue in our mission thanks to the sponsorship gifts and especially NROS foundation,“ says Miluše Horská, headmaster of „Základní a Praktická škola Svítání o.p.s.“ and vice-chairwoman of Czech Senate.

The newly acquired bus, named Bella from children already, was ceremonially christened on the 11th September by the Prague State Opera solist Andrea Kalivodová. „I wish this new bus to carry only merry children,“ opera singer and godmother of the new bus congratulated. Guests were informed about run of the school and saw the dancing and music-therapeuthical shows of children. The new bus on which school gained 1,5 million CZK will provide more comfortable and pleasant environment to disabled children for the daily collecting or travelling thanks to its optimal interior equipment. It will help young people and adult clients in their future progress carrying them on regular practices to their more distant employers. „Our children will use the bus every schoolday. It will take them to hipotherapy or swimming pool, interesting excursions, trips and cultural events,“ says Miluše Horská.
